Technological
Singularity
In my bachelor thesis I explore the concept of Technological Singularity and the rapid rise of artificial intelligence. Reflecting on potential risks and our proximity to losing control, I created a multimedia installation: an aluminum cage combining photography with immersive virtual reality – inviting visitors into a space of both fascination and unease.

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence raises questions about potential risks and the impact on human control and society.

This project examines hypercapitalism and Industry 4.0, focusing on how rapid technological progress impacts society and shifts power to machines. It explores the blurred line between real and virtual, the commodification of data, and the rise of a digital panopticon. Through photography, it reflects on how technology reshapes our lives and what may be lost in the pursuit of progress.

To explore and visualize the concept of technological singularity and its possible consequences through an immersive, multimedia art installation.
some behind-the-scenes moments
Exhibition
The installation was presented as part of the “Folkwang Finale” exhibition, where visitors were invited to step inside, explore the space, and engage with the immersive experience firsthand.
Using Oculus Rift VR glasses, visitors could enter a digital walkthrough of the installation. The immersive space featured oversized photographs from the project, emphasizing the overwhelming presence and potential risks of advanced technology. Here's a short trailer showing what the virtual environment looked like.
