Technological
Singularity
For my bachelor thesis I explored the concept of Technological Singularity and the rapid rise of artificial intelligence. I asked myself: where do the risks lie and how close are we to losing control? The result is an aluminum cage installation combining photography, TV screens, and an immersive virtual reality experience – inviting visitors to step inside a space of both fascination and unease.

This project examines hypercapitalism and Industry 4.0, focusing on how rapid technological progress impacts society and shifts power to machines. It explores the blurred line between real and virtual, the commodification of data, and the rise of a digital panopticon. Through photography, it reflects on how technology reshapes our lives and what may be lost in the pursuit of progress.

To explore and visualize the concept of technological singularity and its possible consequences through an immersive, multimedia art installation.
some behind-the-scenes moments
Exhibition
The installation was presented as part of the “Folkwang Finale” exhibition, where visitors were invited to step inside, explore the space, and engage with the immersive experience firsthand.
Using Oculus Rift VR glasses, visitors could enter a digital walkthrough of the installation. The immersive space featured oversized photographs from the project, emphasizing the overwhelming presence and potential risks of advanced technology. Here's a short trailer showing what the virtual environment looked like.
